Zoe Saldana 'People should carry gun?'

Zoe Saldana has hinted she carries a gun just in case she’s ever threatened by a crazed fan.

The Avatar star says playing coldblooded assassin in new movie Columbiana has changed her views on gun laws.

“It is a very delicate question,” says Zoe. “How do I answer it honestly without giving the wrong message? So after the acknowledgement that not everybody should bear the right to carry weapons, I do believe in the Constitutional right for people to own a gun.”

Saldana recently credited school bullies for her tough girl image.

“It’s made me stronger,” she said. “I have an eight-year-old niece going through the same thing and I have been able to tell her what happened to me and how to deal with it.

“As a kid, if I got the crap kicked out of me, the one thing that they were not going to take was my dignity and my sense of self. So, I do believe that you have to defend yourself.”
