Katy Perry 'Smurf is family friendly'

Katy Perry insists there will be none of her usual risqué antics on show when she takes to the big screen as a Smurf.
The sexy singer who’s married to British comedian Russell Brand provides the voice of Smurfette in this summer’s Smurf movie but she insists her performance and animated alter ego, unlike her music videos, will be completely family friendly.
“It’s a great film that all ages can enjoy,” says Katy.
“There’s no sneaky innuendo’s or sort of taboo things. It’s a positive story, it has a sweet side, there’s a great message. It’s just one of those ‘you can’t go wrong’ type of films. It’s very family orientated.”
Perry recently spoke of her love of the Smurfs.
“I love the Smurfs,” she said.
“They’re so cute. I want all the t-shirts and toys even now. In fact I should be getting them free with me being Smurfette. I can start a whole collection.”

Elijah Wood steals from movie set

Elijah Wood blames his time on the Lord of the Rings trilogy for turning him into a serial thief!
The 30-year-old actor, famous for his role as heroic Hobbit Frodo Baggins says his collection of movie set swag started with his old character’s most famous prop.
“I was actually given the ring from Lord of the Rings in this beautifully carved box which I still have,” says Elijah who is now starring in cult hit TV show Wilfred.
“Since then I’ve always kept things from sets like bits of wardrobe and props. I also keep the first and last call sheet from every film I do.”
Elijah recently admitted he hates that people assume he’s going to be a “f**king d*ck!”
“You know what’s amazing? And this has happened my entire life, especially after Rings: I meet people and I work with them and they say ‘God, you’re so nice and personable and approachable’ as if it’s a big surprise. But it’s like, ‘What do you expect me to be?” he said.
“Just because I’ve been lucky enough to have a certain amount of success and be recognisable, that doesn’t make me any better or different.
“I’m just being a person the only way I can conceive of being is cool to people. I don’t wanna be a f**king d*ck!”

Helena Bonham Carter 'Potter was good therapy'

Fashion forward: Clemency Posy and Helena Bonham Carter stepped out in two very different looks
Helena Bonham Carter is looking for another outlet for her worries and woes following the end of her Harry Potter adventures.
The wife of Hollywood director Tim Burton is about to be seen as Bellatrix Lestrange in the final Potter movie blockbuster but she’s already missing her magical role.
“She’s been really good therapy to do,” says Helena of her character.
“I get to scream a lot, she’s very physical, very expressed, she’s a big character to play. She’s totally unsubtle. I’ll never get that full body workout screaming therapy thing.”
Helena recently insisted she won’t have Botox.
“I can still move all my face muscles,” she said.
“Age is underrated, I think what’s happening is that directors and the studios want actresses who have natural looks, who haven’t had any work done.
“I know some actresses who have had bits of work done and it’s so good you can’t tell.
“The problem is that now the high-definition camera can tell, so it’s best to leave your face alone. Look at Judi Dench. She’s beautiful. Talk about her face being her fortune! She never stops working. That’s what I want for me.
“You have two choices. You can have the work done and look weirder. Or have nothing done and look older.
“I think the only way I’ll continue to get work is if I don’t get anything done.
“But there’s beauty in an older woman. The lines represent something. I couldn’t have played the Queen Mother if I hadn’t been able to move my face.”

Hugh Jackman sick of being fit

Hugh Jackman is literally sick of having to be so fit!
The Aussie hunk, 42, is dieting and back in the gym in preparation for his role in a second Wolverine spin-off movie and he doesn’t seem to be enjoying it.
“I am eating mainly boring stuff. A lot of steak, chicken, brown rice and steamed broccoli,” says Hugh. “Then there is the stuff in the gym. I don’t do long because I’m an old man! I do about an hour a day but they’re vomit-inducing workouts. Really horrible.”
Jackman recently admitted he was initially deterred from becoming an actor because he thought people would think he was gay.
“I would love to say I was Billy Elliot, but I wasn’t,” Hugh said. “My dad was like, ‘Terrific,’ but my brother was like, ‘Ah, you poof!’ I was only about 10 or 11, but I remember thinking that this is not a good thing.”

Rihanna taken up belly dancing

Rihanna has taken up belly dancing.
The California King Bed hitmaker is being given lessons in the exotic art by a professional dancer from Mexico in a bid to keep in shape and friends would not be surprised to see some of her new moves turn up on the European leg of the singer’s Loud tour in September.
“She loves belly dancing and has been getting all her dancers to join in. They’ve even had a few private Arabian-themed parties,” a source said.
“We shouldn’t be surprised to see a little of this influence when Rihanna goes on tour later this year.”
Belly dancing appears to be a more conventional way for the 23-year-old singer to keep fit, but Rihanna — who is currently on her Loud tour in the US – has previously revealed she stays in shape by “walking for miles” through airports when she is going from place to place playing gigs.
“I keep fit by walking through so many airports. You end up walking for miles in those places!” she said.
Rihanna also has another reason for getting fit because she is looking for a man, recently explaining she wants a guy who will “earn” her love.
“I’m open to love. But guys should have to earn it. Because the minute they get it, they want something else,” she added.
“Men are like hunters; they like the chase. So you have to keep ‘em guessing. Actually, I’m like that too. I get bored quickly. So if someone can make me laugh, that’s the best.”

Nicole Richie joining NBC's 'Fashion Star' as mentors

Nicole Richie is set to get a judging role on Fashion Star.
The 29-year-old star who owns clothing and accessories brands Winter Kate and House of Harlow will join model Elle Macpherson and singer-turned-designer Jessica Simpson on the TV show, which sees aspiring designers compete for a contract to have their products sold in retailers in the US.
The program does not yet have an air date.
Just days ago, Nicole who has children Harlow, three and 22-month-old Sparrow with rocker husband Joel Madden announced she would be expanding her fashion range, with a new collection of handbags as part of her House of Harlow 1960 line.
Discussing her own design credentials, Nicole revealed she only ever created clothes she would want to wear herself.
“My main goal for this particular collection and for all the footwear that I design is I want the shoes to look great but be comfortable at the same time,” she said.
“I’m a girl and I love shoes. Who doesn’t want to make exactly what you want?”

Maria Shriver buy $10 million mansion near Arnold Schwarzenegger home ?

Maria Shriver is set to buy a $10 million home near estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The 55-year-old writer who split from the Terminator star earlier this year after it was revealed he fathered a boy named Joseph with his family’s housekeeper Mildred Baena 13 years ago while they were still married is looking to purchase the luxurious property in Los Angeles district Brentwood, which is just down the road from her former marital home.
According to gossip website TMZ, Maria who has four children, Katherine, 21, Christina, 19, Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13, with the former Californian governor wants to be close to Arnold so it’s easier for the custody arrangements of their two younger children.
Earlier this week, it was revealed Arnold, 63, is to give Maria a “very generous divorce settlement” and more than she is owed under Californian law.
“Arnold realizes he is to blame for the collapse of his marriage. Maria was a loving wife and mother, and he doesn’t think that any amount of money can minimize what he has put her through. He wants to do the right thing, and go above and beyond what is required of him under the law,” a source said.
“This is going to be a very amicable divorce, and it won’t be played out in the media. Neither one of them wants that. Arnold hasn’t lost his mind, he is going to be giving away his fortune to her. He wants to show his children that he is taking responsibility for his actions.”
Maria who filed for divorce from Arnold last Friday is entitled to a 50/50 split of all the couple’s assets accumulated during their marriage because California is a Community Property state.
