Ke$ha written 200 songs for new album

Ke$ha says she’s written 200 songs for her new rock-influenced album.

The Tik Tok hitmaker who is currently working on the follow-up to her 2010 debut album Animal – has revealed she has been writing non-stop and has been influenced by the likes of Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop and AC/DC.

“I have so many songs. They leak out and I don’t even remember writing them,” she told Scotland’s Daily Recordnewspaper.

“I’ve written about 200. I’m writing constantly about all my crazy experiences across the world. I haven’t turned that material into a record yet but it’s definitely coming along.

“I want the next record to be experimental and I’d love to play all the different types of music I listen to.

“I really want some dirty guitar in there and wouldn’t mind if there were elements of blues too.

“I’ve been playing a lot of guitar. It’s quite exciting to think about threading that into the new material.

“I’ve been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin and AC/DC. And the one CD I haven’t taken out of my player in a long time is Iggy Pop’s The Idiot.”
