Michael Bay in love with 3-D

Michael Bay has played down the drop in demand of 3-D movies insisting the controversial format is here to stay.

The Transformers 3 director says his movie is best seen in 3-D even though audiences are predicted to be about to save cash by seeing the blockbuster in standard format.

“This really is a movie you have to see in 3-D, it was made for 3-D, every shot was made with that in mind,” says Michael.

“It’s a much different experience. I know audiences have been saying they’ve been let down by 3D, they truly have been let down, with these movies it’s often the afterthought instead of the forethought. But I believe it works so well in our movie, it is more immersive.”
