Alicia Keys 'I have big plans for the future'
Alicia Keys has expressed her excitement at marking the ten-year anniversary of her debut album later this month, but insisted that she still has big plans for the future.
After celebrating the milestone with a re-release of her debut record Songs in A Minor, Keys said that she hopes to experiment in other areas of the entertainment industry outside of music.
"I want to get into theatre on Broadway, in regards to writing and producing," Keys revealed in an interview with KISS fm. "I want to write and produce film and continue to act.
"There is so much more that I have to say and so many powerful ways I want to do it. Everyone has to watch out; we're moving into the business phase of life."
Despite having big plans for the future, Keys said that she feels proud of what she has accomplished over the past ten years.
"It was only ever just a dream. To be able to look back now and see how many things have happened, it's definitely incredible," the singer added.
The re-release of Songs in A Minor will come in a deluxe format including previously unheard tracks and demos, as well as a collector's edition which will include a special behind-the-scenes documentary.
Meanwhile Keys has clarified reports that she is planning to record a duet with Adele.
Last week, rumours circulated that the 'Fallin' singer would be open to collaborating with Adele. Keys has now revealed that a duet may soon become a reality.
"She is a great lady," Keys told KISS fm recently. "I definitely see that there is a strong possibility we will do something together."
Keys had previously laughed off reports of a duet with Adele by insisting that her producer husband Swizz Beatz was the one who started the rumours out of wishful thinking.
"I think my own husband started that rumour," the singer joked. "He is so excited, we love Adele!"
Keys also teased a long-awaited release of her collaboration with Beyoncé on the track 'Put It In A Love Song', which was recorded back in 2009 but has yet to receive an official release.
"We want to keep it really mysterious for everybody," she teased. "We like it that everyone is wondering what the hell is going on."
