Angelina Jolie to work with David O. Russell?

Angelina Jolie is in talks to work withThe Fighter director David O. Russell on several films.

At the Ghetto Film School Spring Benefit Monday night at the Standard, where he was honored with an award, Russell said he was in talks to direct Jolie in Maleficent, a Sleeping Beauty-based Disney project.

According to the New York Post, Russell is a favorite to direct since Tim Burton dropped out in May. Russell is also speaking with Jolie about starring inThe Silver Linings Playbook, a comedy with Mark Wahlberg.

Jolie recently insisted she feels “very lucky” to have a “real man” in Brad Pitt.

The Tourist actress who raises children Maddox nine, Pax, seven, Zahara, six, Shiloh, five, and the two-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne with the actor is content in her near-six year relationship and admires everything about her partner.

“I am very lucky with Brad. He is a real gentleman, but he is also a real man’s man,” she said.

“He’s got the wonderful balance of being an extraordinary, great, loving father, a very, very intelligent man and physically he’s a real man in all things that it means.”
