Michael Jackson aide pleads guilty to tax evasion

One of Michael Jackson's former personal aides has pleaded guilty on two charges of tax evasion.
Raymone Bain, who oversaw public relations and financial planning for the Michael Jackson Company, admitted in a Washington DC federal court yesterday that she failed to pay income taxes beginning in 2006 and continuing through 2008.
Bain is alleged to owe the government between $200,000 and $400,000 in total, according to a statement released by the US Justice Department.
A $100,000 fine and a one-year jail sentence could be levied against Jackson's former associate for not filing a federal income tax return in 2008, while she could also face an additional six months behind bars and a further $5,000 fine for failing to file a return in the District of Columbia.
Bain has been ordered to return to court on August 31 to face sentencing.
A multimedia exhibition dedicated to Jackson opened at the famed Madame Tussauds Hollywood museum earlier this week.
