Nicole Scherzinger "very hurt" by 'X Factor' USA claims

Nicole Scherzinger
Nicole Scherzinger has slammed ex-manager Jeff Haddad over recent claims he made about her involvement in The X Factor USA.
Haddad recently insisted that Scherzinger was always a "front-runner" to judge X Factor USA and accused execs of using British convicted criminal Cheryl Cole to publicise the series before ultimately giving her the axe.
Scherzinger, who was initially announced as co-host of the Fox talent competition alongside Steve Jones, was later confirmed as Cole's replacement on the judging panel, a decision which Haddad insisted was always meant to happen.
However, Scherzinger has hit back at Haddad's claims during an interview on syndicated radio show Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, saying that there was no truth to his statements.
"I was very hurt by that [claim] because that was my ex-manager who said that," Scherzinger explained.
"It unfortunately goes to show how much he doesn't know because the people at Freemantle and all the powers that be have no idea who he is because he wasn't involved.
"Cheryl's a lovely girl and she's going to make the best decisions for her. She's going to be great."
Scherzinger has made similar comments about Cole before, saying that she had "done what's best for her" in deciding not to return to The X Factor USA.
